NOTICE OF A SECOND PUBLIC MEETING CONCERNING A PROPOSED

OFFICIAL PLAN AMENDMENT AND ZONING BYLAW AMENDMENT

TAKE NOTICE that the Council of The Corporation of the Township of Ramara will hold a public

meeting on Monday, June 15, 2015 at 7:00 p.m., in the Council Chambers. Township of

Ramara Municipal Building, 2297 Highway 12, Brechin, Ontario, to consider a proposed

Official Plan Amendment and Zoning Bylaw Amendment, pursuant to Sections 22 and 34 of the

Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, c.P.13.

THE PROPOSED Official Plan Amendment will have the effect of redesignating the island

property from “Rural” to “Island Accommodation (Strawberry Island)” for this island only

according to the Township of Ramara Official Plan.

THE PROPOSED Zoning Bylaw Amendment will have the effect of amending the current island

zoning of “Rural” to a special zone for the island only, to permit a mixed use seasonal residential

and resort accommodation facility.

ANY PERSON may attend the public meeting and/or make written or verbal representation

either in support of, or in opposition to, the proposed Official Plan Amendment and Zoning

Bylaw Amendment. Signed, written submissions will be accepted by the Clerk prior to the

meeting.

IF YOU WISH to be notified of the adoption of the proposed Official Plan Amendment and

Zoning Bylaw Amendment, you must make a written request to the Clerk of the Township of

Ramara, Box 130, Brechin, Ontario, LOK 1BO.

IF A PERSON or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting or make

written submissions to the Township of Ramara before the proposed official plan amendment is

adopted and before the zoning by-law is passed, the person or public body is not entitled to

appeal the decision of the Council of the Township of Ramara to the Ontario Municipal Board.

IF A PERSON or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting or make

written submissions to the Township of Ramara before the proposed official plan amendment is

adopted and before the zoning by-law is passed, the person or public body may not be added

as a party to the hearing of an appeal before the Ontario Municipal Board unless, in the opinion

of the Board, there are reasonable grounds to add the person or public body as a party.
